… is a typeface which incorporates the handwriting of people involved in the re-development of the Glynn Vivian Art Gallery.

For example; the letter ‘x’ is a reproduction of the writing of the lead Architect and ‘ z’ the hand of the Curator. Other letters replicate the hand writing of bricklayers, decorators, gallery technicians, education staff and contractors. The typeface celebrates ‘the sum of the parts’ that make the re-development of the Glynn Vivian Art Gallery possible.

The title refers to a pause in writing and the pause in the history of the building while suggests the anticipation of the re-opening. It is designed for use in Welsh and English with lesser used symbol keys assigned to Welsh letters such as Ll, Ff, Ch, Ng. It is intended to be used primarily for communications between departments at the gallery and is intentionally informal.

Mae … (Elipsis) yn dathlu ‘swm y rhannau’ sy’n galluogi Oriel Gelf Glynn Vivian i gael ei hailddatblygu. Mae teitl y gwaith … yn cyfeirio at saib wrth ysgrifennu a’r saib yn hanes yr adeilad, gan gyfleu’r disgwyl am ei ailagor. Mae’r teip wedi’i ddylunio ar gyfer y Gymraeg a’r Saesneg gan ddefnyddio’r allweddi anarfer ar gyfer llythrennau Cymraeg er enghraifft Ll, Ff, Ch, Ng. Bwriedir ei ddefnyddio’n bennaf ar gyfer cyfathrebu rhwng adrannau yn yr oriel ac yn anffurfiol.
